MICHAEL R. BERTA ARCHITECTURE
20 years in practice and with AIA, Mike’s participation is motivated by the opportunity to change our environment and make it a better place to live. He is the owner of Michael R. Berta Architecture in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Fun Fact: On weekends, you can find Mike at a local golf course, with his family, or PC Paddocks.
RICK TORRES, AIA
Historic Hudson Valley
Rick is the 2016 AIA WHV Treasurer and has been an AIA member since 2000. He believes in the collaborative nature of AIA and the camaraderie that results from such connections. Rick is the owner of Richard John Torres Architect in Purdys, NY.
Fun Fact: Rick spends his free time coaching little league for North Salem, NY.
JACLYN TYLER, AIA, LEED BD+C TYLER ARCHITECTURE & PLANNING PLLC
Jaclyn has been an integral part of AIA WHV since 2007. The development of our local young professionals group can be attributed to Jaclyn’s efforts to the growth of the industry. She is a sole-practitioner practicing out of Purchase, NY.
Fun Fact: Catch Jaclyn traveling from a variety of sports games during the weekends or taking a break at Copake Lake.
KIMBERLY MILLER, AIA, Pocantico Center of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund ARCHITECT & DIRECTOR
Kim has been a member of AIA since 2002 and is the 2016 AIA WHV Secretary. She believes in the importance of advocacy on behalf of AIA WHV members and their communities. She is the Staff Architect and Director of Operations for the Pocantico Center of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.
Fun Fact: Kim spends her free time watching her boys play sports and taking her dog for long walks.

The Board of Directors are voted in during the September Annual Meeting by the general membership. The nominations committee presents the candidates to the members 30 days prior to the annual meeting and candidates may come off the floor. Term runs from January to December.
- Officers (President, President-Elect, Treasurer, Secretary) all serve on the Executive Committee (EXCOM) and serve one year term.
- Directors (7) have voting rights and serve a three year term.
- State Director (1) is elected by the Board of Directors and serves a two year term.
- Past President (1) has voting rights and serves one year term.
- General Council (1) and is appointed by the Board of Directors.
In accordance with the AIA Westchester + Hudson Valley By Laws.
